1-Hour In-Person*
Garden Consult

An edible garden coach visits your garden to answer your questions.

This is a one-time site visit for gardeners who are seeking an hour with an edible garden coach to:

  • Discuss garden design ideas

  • Receive one-on-one tailored advice

  • Spark inspiration and motivation

* Lower Mainland BC only. Virtual coaching is available for $85/hour.

3-Month In-Person*
Mentorship

This is best for gardeners with some experience, who have grown food for a few years with some success, but are seeking mentorship to improve their skills with more challenging plants.

There are two options:

  • Once a month visits for 3 months;

    OR

  • 3 garden visits anytime throughout the growing season.

* Lower Mainland BC only. Virtual coaching is available for $85/hour.

Mentorship

This is an entire growing season alongside a garden coach! This is best for new gardeners, who are seeking support from the beginning to the end of the growing season.

There are two options:

  • Once a month visits for 6 months;

    OR

  • 6 garden visits anytime throughout the growing season.

About Your Garden Coach

Meet Jess! An experienced Garden Coach passionate about people and plants!

She has 8 years of professional growing expertise in:

🌱 Urban Garden Design & Installation

🌱 Hydroponics

🌱 Market Gardening

🌱 Mushroom Cultivation

She owned her own certified-organic farm on Vancouver Island for 2 years, where she sold mixed vegetables and oyster mushrooms at the Comox Valley Farmers’s Market. She graduated from the University of Waterloo in Geography and Environmental Management and holds a Permaculture Design Certificate from the University of Victoria with in-field experience on Linneaa Farm on Cortes Island, and earned an Organic Master Gardener Certificate from Gaia College.

The past 3 years, Jess focused on hydroponic vertical agriculture, where she conducted government-funded research and development on growing fruiting crops (e.g. dwarf tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, etc.) not typically grown in indoor hydroponic set-ups.
