Nourishing Connection

Through Food

We grow gardeners

By gathering and empowering people of all ages to cultivate food and connect to the Land.

What We Do

In a fast-paced world, we create spaces to slow down, work with our hands, and reconnect with what nourishes us.

When we have the opportunity to grow food, more than roots grow: culture, Land, community, and oneself.

We collaborate with qualified educators, farmers, and food & agriculture industry experts to design high quality garden and food literacy resources and programs.

Inspiring Stories

What began as garden coaching for their mother quickly became an opportunity for two twin brothers to learn to grow their own food in the backyard. They would eagerly wait at the window for our garden coach before each garden session! They made this dish fresh from their garden.

After-School
Garden Coaching

A bright high school student created and led a School Garden Club. Our garden coach supported the student with garden layouts, crop rotations, succession planting, harvesting techniques, and rainy day activities (when the students were not eager to go outside). It became a permanent club in early 2026!

Garden Club

A Grade 4/5 classroom welcomed a new classroom pet a blue oyster mushroom grow kit. They named it “Mount Mushmore”! Students tracked mycelium growth, cooked their harvest and discovered food systems exist even in cold Canadian winters. Parents shared their childrens’ taste for mushrooms changed at home!

We Grow More Than Gardeners

We nurture self-sufficiency — but never in isolation. Resilient food systems grow through community. Our work cultivates responsibility, initiative, collaboration, and leadership through meaningful connection to food.
